  1. Star not returning to DCI in '94 send its eligible '93 members all over DCI. Cavies, Cadets, SCV, Phantom, Magic, Crown, Glassmen, Boston, Madison, ect. Only a handfull of folks stayed on for the brass theater.
  2. Ah hello!!!! Perfect score.....1987 Garfield Cadets!!!!! But, seriously, Blue Devils in '86 & '87 rocked. Star '93 Phantom in '97 Spirit in '84 Velvet Knights in '88 Cadets in '00, '01, '02, '03
  3. how about Cadets '86. Or My alltime fav underrated show suncoast '88.
  4. Plate lines are somewhat of a phenomenom in DCI/DCA, either you've got one and they're great or you just eliminate them and add to the hornline. In recent years, Bluecoats, Crown, Jersey surf, Empire. But, Historically, Madison, SCV, BD(in the day), Cadets(in the day) and of course VK all girl line.
  5. I think there is some tough competition in front of both lines. Cadets, SCV, Glassmen, BD, Cavies, Magic, Blue Knights, Crossmen all score higher in my book.
  6. Celtic pipeband, lead snare. But, I wish I could turn back time and march DCI again..
  7. I've started a similar thread on the Cadets new Forums, unders Alums, But, as for influences for me, I'd have to say Thom Hannum with the Cadets and Charley Poole with the Lancers. Others would be Carl Boos from the Cadets, Tom Aungst from the Cadets, Tom Newell from the Avant garde, and Although not a drum instructor, as a cymbal player, George Zingali really taught us about visuals and the power of the cymbal line in the overall GE category.
