Did the Cavies have an extended sick outage a few years ago? I remember they marched several shows with many holes because people were out sick with a flu -- it was a show about sports or video games or something?
Yep -- the stomach crud that usually hits most Corps over a season before COVID. It hit the Cavies especially hard that season.

From PC email:
Corps Update: National Tour Kicks Off Today
July began with a mini tour to Arizona, where Pacific Crest performed at the DCI Tempe show. After an appearance at the Moreno Valley Fourth of July parade, the corps traveled north, performing at the Capitol Classic and DCI West shows in NorCal.
Today marks the start of PC's national tour, which will take the corps through the south before moving up the east coast and ending in Indy. Next stop: West Texas!
See Pacific Crest's upcoming shows on DCI.org

Suddenly I’m craving a show at Boise State…
I was watching Air Force at Boise State on TV. AF was in blue. I never saw them the entire game.

I believe his favorite was fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches. The Wife worked at Graceland.
More trivia: Elvis' cousin worked at Graceland after Elvis passed and would sometimes make these sandwiches for the tour guides, of which The Wife's brother was one. So the recipe was passed along.

Gotcha. You'd think they'd go after a bigger audience. But then again, if they're going after unsatisfied Flo customers. that could be a potential gold mine for them.
Sadly, I see your point. Promise of a better product is always enticing.

How much for Dennis Hopper? That'd look pretty cool in the man cave.
You can get the entire lot for $122,043, Dennis included. Didn't see a separate price just for Mr Hopper.

All 30 of us, huh? That should fetch those scammers some dollars.
I think the deal is selling cheaper streams to parents/friends than Flo and then stealing the credit card info. Several comments to the FB post were from folks who got took and are dealing with fraudulent charges.

Warning from DCI on scammers offering live streaming to DCI shows.
Text:
It has been brought to our attention that a series of fraudulent social media posts have been created in an attempt to solicit fans of Drum Corps International’s performing ensembles to purchase discounted/alternative livestream access to a number of events. These posts are, in fact, part of an apparent phishing campaign and are not endorsed nor supported by DCI and its participating organizations. Although we will continue to diligently monitor our social media channels and will remove and block the offending posts, we want to make sure that our loyal supporters are not victimized by this scam.
FloMarching, a division of FloSports, is the only authorized site and portal for subscription-based streaming of 2022 DCI Tour events. Subscriptions can and should only be purchased through FloMarching.com. FloMarching does not conduct transactions over Facebook or other social media sites. A complete schedule of streaming events and subscription information can be found through dci.fan/WatchLive22.

Is there a reason why I can post a link from Twitter and the forum s/w will expand and display it, but not with a FB post?

Facebook: I had to paste this first into Notes on my phone as it wouldn't paste directly from FB (via share).

They are tearing down a DQ and building a Varsity in my town. But the location is terrible as far as traffic flow. (Maybe why the DQ finally failed.)
But ... a new DQ is almost finished within a short walk from my house. I hear a Blizzard calling my name, accompanied by brass and percussion (staying on topic). 🙂

PC is getting so much unwarranted hate this year. I saw them at Rose Bowl and they were so cool. I love the show concept and props.
They had so much momentum coming out of the Everglow season and then COVID hit and 2 HUGE steps back -- momentum-wise. Totally out of their control.
And I love this year's show concept. Without the COVID break, this might have been Everglow Pt 2.
But the season is still young. (I keep telling folks that, but no one listens.)

Seemed kind of rude to me, but then again, when in Rome...
Then that's just you. I saw nothing rude about it.
I live in Rome. It's not rude there either.
