PC with probably the most boring show of the night. Surf was awesome tho.
And you really thought that comment somehow contributed to the conversation? You really don't have to post everything that pops into your head. Use some discretion please.

Or a color pre, or a timing gun, or a….well, you get the picture!
This is (for me), a military pass in review. At the end of boot camp graduations, all the new sailors would pass in review of the reviewing stand, followed at the end by the band.
We also did this when we performed at USMC Sunset Parades.

Lol what else are we supposed to talk about, the weather???
Carolina Crown -- as Crown fans.
I think the forum lets you start new threads if you want to discuss Crown differently. Give it a try. Thx!

DCI/DCA only? Or include other marching experience?
I'll just post what I got:
DCI/DCA -- none
HS -- 2 yrs. Only started a marching band when I was a Junior, though we always had a band in the stands. Snare drum in the stands, trombone marching.
College -- 5 yrs. Also did some arranging. 2 yrs trombone, 1 yr snare drum, 2 yrs bass drum
Military -- 8 yrs total as a Musician mostly doing HS recruiting, but still a fair amount of Ceremonial duty which involved marching (pass in review, parades, etc.). Trombone major, later switched to guitar major, trombone minor. Also played synth, drum set, and trumpet.

Folks,
As we are at the most active part of the season, and had well over 100 DCOP members viewing the Atlanta thread, it might be time to do something I have considered for a while: The corporate knowledge of DCP members. So -
How many years marching experience do you have?
I will tally it up periodically as we go.
DCI/DCA only? Or include other marching experience?

We of course want all MMs to have a great season/ experience that goes without saying. The point of the thread is to discuss the competitive season of “the game,” and the show
Oh really? That seems a bit presumptuous, especially on a thread YOU didn't start.

Wow I’d LOVE that.
Feel like ‘Midnight Train to Georgia’ will win out. And I honestly have no complaints
Dare they do "Rainy Night in Georgia"?

I don't recall ever seeing a DM actually conducting in the middle of the field. If it works, more power ....

we read left to right 🤷♂️
Probably -- All I can think of.

Do you ever see a guard member run off the field anywhere than right side back field? Thinking back to "Tinker Bell" (Crown). Is it a left to right issue? In the design manual somewhere?

So I guess the multi cam shot where you can see the big screen is where home plate used to be.

I'm looking at my rear view mirror it is so dark downtown. But clear heading north from downtown.
Why did I think this was from Bloo's show?

You can't say they don't cover the field.

Go Heatwave.
I love watching these smaller corps go out there and give it everything they got.
Great minds think alike.

I LOVE small corps out there giving it all! Crowd seemed to like it, too.
The Son started out with the Racine Scouts who were only a little bigger than Heat Wave.

More info
I wish I could post pics. The Daughter attended a flute symposium and the guest artist had a contrabass flute. You had to play it on an upright stand as it was about 5 feet tall. The mouthpiece section was bent around into a "4" shape to allow you to blow into it and still reach the keys.
EDIT: There are pics on the Wikipedia article on contrabass flutes.
