Well, my studio professor supports my decision to march 100%. Students come home sounding like feces on their own, not because of staff. I've seen the teaching methods of 4 of the top 5 DC the past few years, and there is nothing wrong with them. Ultimately, it comes down to the members and how they interpret the information presented. No one can or will force me to play beyond my breaking point, and no staff that I can think of would try to.

Well, recording devices are banned at DCI shows, and while they might not be banned in parking lots, I know there are people out there that think bootleg recording is wrong (esp. with copyright issues...that's probably the reason why it's frowned upon). If I knew more about designing web pages, I would do it. Who knows, in the coming weeks I might start to design a webpage...I've done it before, so who knows. I couldn't do it alone though. Anyone know for sure what the legal issues are?

Heh, it would be frowned upon by many people, I'm sure. But I always thought it would be cool to have a little 'group' of people that could trade homemade recordings amoungst ourselves (or even a website, hence the topic). But, like I said, it would definitely be frowned upon.

Yeah, a site like that would be awesome. There's not much to watch really, so videos would be useless. But mp3's would be great...I mean, I have lots of minidiscs with hornline's warming up and doing runthroughs, and I listen to those more than I do real DCI cd's.

I know the Blue Devils don't march 14, and they haven't anytime in the past decade or so (as far as I know at least) . 10 seems to be their magic number.

BD 2002 had a pretty wicked walking bass line in I've Got Rhythm/Fascinating Rhythm. But I'm going to have to go with 89, Ya Gotta Try has a BEAST of a bassline.
