its on the stick side

i started playing snare about 2 months ago and i made my hs drumline callbacks. when i pratice some times i get a sharp pain in my left index knuckle (the one right nest to the stick) i was wondering if there is a way prevent that?? plz help oh and our griping style is L. Traditional R. american

I found a lightly used Yamaha SZF marching snare (idk what size) and They said they would do $400, but the bottom heads broken and there's no carriers. What do you think?

I'm looking Marching Snare/Harness In the cheep range? haha but I need some one that just want to get rid of one, in the $250 area? It would Help a lot Oh and like around So-cal to avoid shipping cost
