agree. in fact i get goosebumps during the intro when those theatrical brass swells start rolling in one after another. gets me everytime

ACTUALLY it's Crown who can run them down this year (because clearly they're already stabbing one guy in the show -- just sprinkle some more mayhem, maybe take out DM or 2 and BAZINGA!).

Honestly if we have judges like Chumley, Webb, Nola Jones, etc... buying into the show, I'm feeling pretty good. Those are some BIG names.
Also could see CrownGuard pulling ahead.
Percussion is just gonna be who's judging on finals. Some guys credit the book -- some do not. Plus we need drums to be consistent. I'm never quite sure if it's the judge or run because I'm perfectly willing to believe a young line has greater variability night to night.

Gonna blaspheme and say I can’t wait to hear BD tomorrow! Visually they are what they are. But I’m loving their hornbook this year. Sorry. Maybe they will kick me out of nightbeat tomorrow?

I’ve met DCP’rs in person before and they’re always kind, good people regardless of the perceptions we develop here. We share so much in common that the differences are kind of silly in person.

I try to arrive about 1:00p, as—at least in prior years—you can enter the stadium and watch Crown run sets. Had I not done so in ‘16 and last year, I’d have missed any opportunity to see any live Crown, even if it was only sliced and diced bits and pieces.
I’d like to get together for a group photo, but I respect some DCP’ers desire to maintain their anonymity for various reasons.
But barring a hospital gurney or a morgue slab, my a$$’ll be in WS come next weekend👑👍
I too will be there early to watch rehearsal. Section 408 if I recall correctly.

While catching BD may well be out of reach, staying ahead of Bloo and hunting down the whale are both in their reach. Boston came out cleaner than anyone —by a lot. And while this may be their strongest corps performer-wise I don’t think it’s their strongest show design at all. WE SHALL SEE WHAT TRANSPIRES!
