  1. I guess another way to put this is like this.... Whenever a major sports team wins a title, they have "Locker Room Edition" clothing, like hats and shirts saying "2012 Super Bowl Champion" and the team logo and logo of the event, in this case the DCI World Championship logo in a "cool looking" design. If you are not sure what I am talking about just search for championship merchandise for a year or event. There is a lot out there and I think it would look great with the DCI logos with the same concept. And yes there would be a lot of Cadets and Blue Devils stuff around, but that happens.
  2. I know when a corps wins the DCI and DCA World Championship, that corps usually creates a line of clothing to commemorate the title (shirts, pins, sweatshirts, hats, collectables). Do you think it would be worth while for DCI to put out a line of champions merchandise like what is seen in the NFL, MLB, NHL, NCAA, and even NASCAR? I understand that it is for a "smaller crowd" as compared to the major sports in the USA, but I still think it would be cool to see. I also don't want to see the items that the individual corps puts out get taken away. Maybe just one t-shirt or sweatshirt design and thats it. Just leave other items to that winning corps. Maybe this has been done in the past and failed. Just trying to get some opinions on this.
  3. I recently purchased a bunch of championship CD sets to update my collection. To make my iPhone more interesting while shows are playing, is there a way to add the album artwork for each individual corps besides the entire cd. For instance, earlier today, I searched on here and found album artwork for each individual corps, but when I try to put it on my CD's in iTunes, 1 corps shows up for all of the corps shows and I would love to have the picture of the corps that is being heard at the time. Everything I seem to try gets me nowhere (and I am not very computer savvy). Any help would be great, and if this was already discussed in an earlier topic (I searched but didn't see anything), please send the link. Thanks!
  4. The top 4 corps all have great shows and it will be an all out war until Finals night. It is the time of the year when everything is "nit-picky" and one mistake could be a disaster in the points. I am a Cadets fan and am happy to see them on top, but there is still too time left in the season to announce a winner yet. This might be one of the greatest top 4 show downs in the history of DCI.
  5. For me, it would have to be Cadets 2000. This show is the one that turned me into a huge drum corps fan. The execution and speed in the last 60 seconds is unbelievable! But there are so many great shows. There are no championship shows that I hate, so I actually like them all!
  6. There are so many great shows to choose from! Cadets 2001 was an amazing show and the music was definitely "people friendly."
  7. I wish I could be there Tom! Ever since I marched my first season in 2007 on Euphonium I have missed being a part of the organization. Unfortunately living in North Carolina is not too kind for the weekend traveler. Someday in the future I will wear the Buccaneer uniform again, but it is only a matter of when. My heart will be with you guys Sunday afternoon as you prepare to embark on the 2011 voyage on the high seas.
  8. The Buccaneers are definitely pushing the envelope as far as design, drill, and musicianship is concerned. This is not to say that not other DCA corps are pushing the activity forward with their shows. I just feel that the Bucs are the frontrunners. As far as entertainment value, the Statesman are clicking with the audience year after year and are always a crowd favorite. I feel that their shows have that extra pop and sizzle with their theatric's that make that connection to the audience. Their shows hit home with the audience with shows that have well-known and popular music.
