  1. Doug Thrower told me arranging this was like a drive through the countryside of Iraq. So many places where things could just blow up. In my opinion, he's perfectly crafted a very serious and emotional piece that has perfect flow from beginning to end. That feeling you get when you watch a Bloo ballad, that is what I felt during the whole show. FYI, he first joined the Bluecoats in 1992, the year Bluecoats first attempted the Beatles. This is not that show πŸ€£πŸ’™πŸπŸ’ͺ
  2. You know the emotional feeling you get when you watch a Bluecoats ballad? Yeah thats what it was like for the entire show.
  3. I just can't get over the fact that I got emotional. It wasn't even until after the show that it hit me.
  4. Lots of people in tears. This is a beautiful and very emotional show. You will never forget it. πŸ’™πŸπŸ’™
  5. The dark skies have disappeared here in Troy, MI and Bloo is currently in a full dress rehearsal. The world is definitely not ready for this show πŸ’™πŸπŸ’™
  6. Yes. Only Alumni and Shield members allowed.
  7. Hopping into BlooForceOne in a few hours. Should be at Visual rehearsal this morning at Troy High School 😁
  8. I'm headed to Detroit on Wednesday. Rehearsal in Troy, Michigan is open to shield members and alumni. I've also been graciously extended a pass to get into Ford Field for the rehearsal on Thursday before the show. Can't wait to see how our show has come together!!
  9. Recent alumni are raving about this show, especially talent wise. Good to hear. Almost everyone will love the music! One of the most accessible shows ever.
  10. By the way, Jim Moore of the Bluecoats pointed this out on his FB wall. Bluecoats spent their last regular-season rehearsal day at Glenwood Middle School in Canton Ohio. And you guessed it, that school is located on 44th Street!
  11. It all starts from the TOP! David Glasgow was the first paid employee of Bluecoats in 2004 (I think?) and he has created a foundational design team, many who are also now paid employees, that have pushed this activity each and every year. It is precisely why you see Bloo setting the trends. You get what you pay for, or something like that :) You don't need to worry about Bloo right now. They are a well-oiled machine that is just getting started.
  12. #BlooForceOne is scheduled to depart Cleveland on Saturday morning and return Sunday night. We still have seats left on both legs if anyone wants to join along. Msg me for details!
  13. Ask your Alexa if she likes drum and bugle corps. #blooooo #orangeisthenewblue
  14. Exact time is unknown but most likely around 4
  15. Next year we'll have to plan it out a bit better. Was a last minute thing!
