  4. The Bridgemen have had a great off season so far and have picked up a number of new talented players. We are however looking for a few more to fill our line for the 2007 season. We still have 1 lead sop, 3 bari, and 2 contra spots open. We are commited to a line of 72 horns right now. If we get overwhelming interest we will go larger but we need to stay balanced. If you are interested in filling one of these spots go to Bridgemen.com and register for the corps. We'll contact you from there. The next rehearsal is Dec 10th.
  5. I actually met Dennis outside of drum corps. He was like my big (very large) brother. We played hockey together. He was a really good goalie. It took about 4 or five months before I came to the rink in my Kingsmen jacket and we realized we had something else in common. Dennis had aged out 2 years earlier. He convinced me to go to Bridgemen. He brought me to my first bridgemen rehearsal and was always there for me through my DC years. he lives up in either Vermont or NH.. I can never remember the difference. He's a snowboard instructor!! He has a son and is just as crazy as ever!!! a true drum corps legend!!!!!!
  6. no the good part is the beefsteak... all the fillet with butter you can eat....
  7. a tricky tray (actually people from Bayonne usually know this as a Chinese auction) is when you auction off prizes with tickets. Everyone gets a certain amount of tickets which they use to bid on the items they want to try and win. If your ticket is pulled for that item you win that prize. Usually the prizes are arranged in baskets so you would actually bid on the basket!! There is usually some really big prizes then some smaller baskets... most of the baskets are donations!!!
  8. The Bridgemen have a big weekend planned for the 11th and 12th of November! Saturday night we will have our yearly election of officers at our Alumni Assn meeting. On Sunday the 12th at 12pm the Bridgemen will be rehearsing at St Andrew's!!!! bring your friends and join in... in the most drum corps fun going on these days!!!!!!!
  9. when marching with the Bridgemen you heard it from the time you were in sight of the crowd til you left the field.. people were (and I guess now again) always screaming out names and stuff, clapping, dancing during the show and for me? I hear every bit of it!!!!!!!! We were never ones to tune it out. We fed off it.

  11. that would be awesome... but remember what that took for a bunch of Juniors with all the time in the world to pull off. A lot of those guys are too busy making money drumming too do it again!

  16. it is with great pleasure tht we announce our brass staff for 2007!! The great Larry Kerchner will continue to be the arranger. It just wouldn't be the Bridgemen without Larry! Matt Krempasky will be the new Brass caption head. Matt brings so much to the corps. We are so happy that Matt has agreed to step up and take over the program. Dennis Argul and Gabe Gulino will bring their considerable talents to the corps as techs. We are so happy to have Dennis and Gabe back with the Bridgemen family. We are so pleased to have such a fine, talented staff for 2007!!!! good luck guys!
