  1. your eyes are fine. and i think the new pants are about 1/2 inch too short on him. ;) [i meant the grey pants he wore at the beginning of the show]
  2. You won't even find that "what we have done" line in Lincoln Portrait. I'm not sure why they threw that in there.
  3. The narrator may have a good voice, but I disagree with some of the choices made on which lines, words to emphasize. From a rhetorical point of view, emphasizing "The fiery trial through which we pass, will light us down, in honor or dishonor, to the latest generation" would carry a lot more impact that emphasizing "what we have done." (of course, I don't think the choices of emphasis or timing were his)
  4. Scheherazade wasn't hard on the eyes either. Reminded me of Hedy Lamarr
  5. would love to see SCV leap frog over Bluecoats and Cadets
  6. I would think that is related to the field being so cluttered with trampolines and put equipment and such - leaves much less of a canvas for them to create on through drill.
  7. And my son's HS marching band show this Fall is "Gravity" . If I see a trampoline being rolled out, we're moving to another school district.
  8. According to Boo's Blog, if the remaining corps don't fall below Blue Stars, it looks like this; 09. 89.225 Blue Stars 10. 89.050 Boston Crusaders 11. 87.650 Madison Scouts 12. 85.450 Crossmen 13. 85.350 Colts 14. 84.775 Troopers 15. 82.325 Blue Devils B 16. 81.875 The Academy 17. 81.550 Spirit of Atlanta 18. 80.100 Oregon Crusaders 19. 80.000 Vanguard Cadets 20. 78.900 Pacific Crest 21. 78.150 Mandarins 22. 75.800 Jersey Surf 23. 74.075 Genesis 24. 74.050 Spartans 25. 71.475 7th Regiment [updated to correct errors]
  9. OC 80.1 Academy 81.875 Spirit 81.55 Troopers [i seem to have misheard] Colts 85.35 Crossmen 85.45 Scouts 87.86 Boston 89.05 Blue Stars 89.225
  10. I like their movers uniforms. I just think they would have been more appropriate to Bluecoats' guard, since they spend so much of the show moving those triangles around.
  11. Yes, I meant he limped off the field on his own power to where he sat and waited for the cart (even carrying the tuba, until a judge ran up and took it the last few steps)
  12. Potter just made an announcement. He's ok - has a recurring knee injury, apparently.
  13. I'm guessing it was a rolled ankle. It was during the turn-hop. Probably came down on it bad. Was able to limp off under own power.
  14. I love how the grey of the drums forms the top of the hammer
  15. I hope that's not YOU in the stands yelling "Eat 'em up" to about 30 named marchers now ...
  16. Could have used more than just one British composer, then. French, American, Italian, Russian, Hungarian, German ... finally English
  17. I wonder how they would look if they traded in the shakos for top hats
  18. I don't know - when I see marionettes, I want to hear "High on a hill was a lonely goatherd ..."
  19. Full disclosure ... I hate narration. But AT LEAST use the language correctly! "Oppression can create a state in our minds that makes it hard to believe that we can never break the chains forced upon us" It's got to read either "... that we can EVER break the chains ...." or else "makes us believe that we can never break the chains ..."
