Soft endings can work, but I was sitting there in the theater thinking, "That show. Needs a "lay everything out there" ending that makes my hair stand on end."

I’m so excited we’re leaving for Indy. Hope to see some DCP’ers
Enjoy the 'big city' (as people where I grew up in Indiana called it). 😉

I notified the MODS from the Megabus. The thread title has been updated from Wednesday to Friday.
I want to sit in your 140 front row seat for a second today to be scolded.
Someday, I'll get to a show where Terri is and this is my plan. I want to introduce myself by being "that person in her seat" then say "HI IT'S ME!"

KEEP BRINGING IT, MANDARINS!!! '\\\
How about back-to-back all-time-high scores?
That's looking pretty likely. Mandarins are growing by leaps and bounds.

No. No Cats shows please.

Those old school IBM Selectric. Made out of Tank materials so as to make sure if you drop it on your foot - it will sufficiently crush it.
We did it without the boxing gloves so I guess we cheated.
You and your fancy ball strike electric typewriter...
I learned to type on my mom's old manual Royal which had the keys that would jam if you went too fast and had close keys swinging up near one another and you had to pound them to get them to strike the ribbon and paper hard enough.
When she got an electric you still had to hit those keys pretty well to make sure the contacts happened, but that wasn't an issue for me. Switching to computer keyboards was more of a challenge as I'd beat the hell out of them typing. It took me years to learn to type lightly enough.- 2

My friend at the theater said it looked like someone on Side B was moving across the front boundary during the show. Could have been one of the marimba people even if the placement of the instrument itself wasn't the issue, the movement they do around the (which is extensive) might have put them over the boundary.
At any rate, I'm sure they'll have the pit layout all changed for tonight to make super duper sure. -

I was worried that member was going to slam his head on the edge of the tunnel! It was a tight fit.
Me too. The members pulling it out centered the prop to the tunnel and I'm thinking the guy impaled should be saying "Uh guys! Um hey!"

Also, glad to see the score bump for Blue Stars. They had a heck of a run tonight. The giant prop still seems sort of wasted potential and while the uniforms look pretty good from high and highlight the drill super good, every time they went close I thought "it's like they ran through the fabric story remnants pile with glue on." It's definitely better than Cadets and should be nipping at BK's heels a bit more in my view.

hah! I was doing this in the theater. It led me to notice some issues Crossmen have with feet not being all that clean though...

Oh...
13. The theater exposes who is using goo a lot.
14. Madison's clip got a lot of applause in my theater, including the young ones.- 1

I stayed off the phone during the theater because I had a friend to chat with this year.
Some thoughts:
1. There was a sync issue at my theater too but it was mostly during people talking, It seemed to get corrected at some point.
2. Steve Rondinaro's cluelessness made for several laughs at my theater. The biggest was after Mandarins. "That was very......different" Then as they're pulling the prop off and the guy stays impaled on it, "Oh look, he's still in character." Also some of the ways people being interviewed responded to his questions. The facial expressions they'd pull. He asks Mike Jackson, "Now, just what exactly do the drums do?" And Jackson is like trying really hard to come up with an answer because his brain is clearly going, "WTF?!? Did he just ask that?"
3. I"m pretty sure I know Terri by sight now after that many shots into the crowd near the 50.
4. I was at the Germantown, MD theater this year and had more youngsters but less people over all than the DC theater. Going by t-shirts they were mostly Crownies. They were super well behaved. A number left after SCV and some more after BD. I think curfews were calling more than any critique of the shows.
5. BAC's blood got an audible "oooh!" and several people sitting upright at my theater.
6. Mandarins rifles in the mouth thing got a lot of "what did we just see?" at my theater
7. The PR hold the woman and catch the rifle behind her got gasps in my theater.
8. Cavies got their ballad replayed as many were leaving rather than waiting out scores. People stopped just to watch it again.
9. Was SOA's ending drill new? Delta to a second ATL to a Delta. I don't remember the second ATL. It was super fun to see but they seemed a bit dirty musically at times. The cut line for finals seems pretty solid with PR passing Crossmen tonight. I don't see SOA finding the scores they need to do it. But it's a fun show and I like the call out/connection to last year's show at the start and finish.10. My friend pointed out some things about BK's visual program that helped me see some of what's missing. "Why aren't they using flags in the ballad? Those scarves have no visual impact, they should be flags." And "Their guard work doesn't compliment the music very much." Which finally clicked with me what's gone awry, and frankly it's baffling because BK typically does those two things fairly well.
11. BD's guard has been coming for BAC and caught them tonight. It's far from over but these are perhaps the two best guards I've seen (this includes that 2014 BD guard). BAC's book is exhausting to watch.
12. Super fun night to share with a friend.- 2

Pac Crest is one of those shows I’d loved to have seen outdoors at night

HOLY CRAP, HORNLINE! They mean business! Somebody wants to move up a spot or two.
They scored high enough for the broadcast at Allentown but since today’s order is an average of the regionals, they’re on now. I’m not surprised they’re putting Colts and Academy on notice
