How did you feel the brass volume was handled for this time of the early season live?

The short clip that I saw of the performance yesterday at the capital in Madison made me feel that musical I have not personally felt as excited since probably the 95’ 96’ shows! Which have been two of my favorite years musically of the Scouts.

I’m just praying that the show will come across well in today’s drum corps era with everybody having the need to use props on the field to tell a story.

I was guessing that the hat would be more like the marine corps garrison hat that folds over the belt when not being worn.

Does anyone know what color the shoes are? Black again I’m assuming?

I will guess and say they probably won’t be like the last two years. Especially if they are doing a throwback type show.

Correct me if I’m wrong. But, it’s my understanding that the director and executive director has nothing to do with program design. Isn’t that the design/program coordinator and the design staff?

If Madison were to ever get in the top 5 again or even win a championship there would always be someone there to criticize something. The young men and staff would do best to stay focused on the task at hand and to reach their desired goals whether it be praise or criticism. Just stay focused and even keel throughout the process no matter what.

I’m curious to see how the colors will be used visually with that khaki color palette. Red would logically appear to be much needed color to be used.

I wander what the theme is then.

With the khaki unis they are really going way back on the tradition!

Yes if I remember it was in the early 80s as their opener.My first year to march in drum corps. Uh Oh, I’m telling my age!

😮 I didn’t know the pressure had been going on for that long. I believe if the Scouts would have remained as competitive on the field as the other green team I doubt they would have started getting that pressure to go coed at all.

Just curious, what do you think that something else might be?

It’ll interesting to see what Mike Turner does with the guard. Mike was the guard caption guy when I marched in the 80s and they won high guard in 83’ if I remember correctly.

Exactly!!! You ever notice the one corps that rarely says anything and always does well is BD?

As stated earlier I would guess a lot of the secrecy has a lot to do with licensing issues.

Well, I hope and pray that everything turns out for the good for them this season. It’s just a little disheartening not hearing anything about what is going on with the corps. But I suppose that is just the nature of the activity itself now.

Anyone heard anything about the 2019 show at all?
