The Cavaliers’ brass line is LIT!

Okay, peeps! Ready for the finest Cavaliers brass line since 2002?

They make up for a lack of playing by throwing themselves on the ground and spinning about for no apparent reason. 😖
...and that’s sad. The design team did their brass line a huge disservice.

I’ve lost so much respect for the design team of the Cadets. I thought they made great strides last season, then this year pushing their political agenda, I don’t think the audience really enjoyed being preached to. The show feels forced, and completely self serving. They’ve lost me as a fan.
It’s a big middle finger to Hop and it doesn’t work.

Members are doing an amazing job selling this show, even if it’s a pretty flawed product.
I say the same about the Madison Scouts.

Maybe The Cadets’ design team will “do better” next year.

Catch Crown? That’s the wrong question. Can The Cavaliers catch Vanguard?

Anyone there live?

Wouldn't the best corps be the one that plays and marches the best?
Now if you said best show, you'd have an argument.
I explain drum corps judging to newbies thusly: “Whoever performs the most difficult show the cleanest wins.”

And POOF! Overnight the Blue Devils horn line is the best. Really?
Yes. I heard them live earlier this evening and they kicked it up several notches.

But again, what BD is doing over the next three days vs. Bloo is pretty different. Even if it doesn’t have that much impact on what goes down in Indy, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if BD takes Allentown on Friday night.
I was high up and on the 50 in Centerville and yes, Blue Devils won brass fair and square; percussion too. The Bluecoats are terrific this year but their brass book isn’t as hard as the Blue Devils’ brass book.

I’m blown away. The Blue Devils are unbelievable.

Centerville gets weaker every year. We are all happy to witness the Blue Devils and Bluecoats in their battle royale but the rest of the field won’t make Finals.

Tonight will be epic. I’ll be in row GG!

If you’re wondering how The Cadets beat both the Blue Stars and Blue Knights in brass, look at the content score. The brass book is more difficult, pure and simple. With that being said, The Cadets are still dirty with respect to performance.

The Cavaliers have an outside chance of medaling. It all depends on that outstanding brass line getting just a smidge cleaner....
-
When a corps’ content scores are lower than their achievement scores in the same caption, that corps has “peaked” in that caption.

Crown and Cavies are my favorites of the year, so I'll be happy to see either of them up there. Glad the judges opened their eyes for the Green Machine!
...and their ears. The Cavaliers’ brass line is awesome this season.

Agreed. And I’m excited for Cavaliers to continue their climb back toward medaling.
We alumni are totally behind this effort.

Using the 1980 scoring system Crown would be undefeated because brass used to be worth 25 points and the GE scores were broken up by brass, percussion, and visual. Unfortunately the GE caption is totally different now and brass is only worth 20 points.

Crown will have to sizzle to stay ahead of The Cavaliers.
