Why yes he is!

Are the Blue Devils using heavy synth? That drives me nuts when they do that!

As to The Cavaliers’ closer, it’s frustrating to watch and even worse on the ears. I love my old corps but this ending isn’t consistent with the rest of the program which is unbelievably well-designed. It’s too late to change things now I think but maybe changing something would help.
Look, I’m a math and physics guy and I love to think — but I don’t want to have to think during the last 90 seconds of a drum corps show. I want to be blown away by volume and wowed by an amazing final visual.

Cavies - They were awesome. Maybe some jitters from the slight electronics delay, though. It keeps being talked about, but the closer has a lot of good ideas that just don’t gel together.
I think that’s supposed to be the idea — You’ve seen A Beautiful Mind? — but if you don’t have an intimate idea of who John Nash was this ending is very confusing. I was expecting a high energy triumphant ending with the Bolero theme prominent at triple forte.

Yes.. no need to keep hammering this.
I saw what you did there. The Blue Stars sure have a nice drill. They might move up a notch.

Come on Madison! Let’s see some serious improvement tonight! Let go and trust it! Don’t ever give up!

The DM from 1981 Seattle Imperials; I cannot believe her name escapes me!

Dan Veerhusen, Madison Scouts 1980. He was a great showman and a total gentleman.
Dave Flynn, Cavaliers 1981. What a role model and mentor he was!

The bully dictator is gone; so should the idea of a "G7" and "TOC." The activity is in a better place now without that individual.
Every change he ever made to the activity should be reversed.

That remark wasn’t sexist. It was just plain stupid.

I'm rooting for Cavies to move it, but agree that the end needs to be fixed. Just not working right now.
I think the beginning of the show is less than stellar as well but that’s just me. I would rather hear a piccolo trumpet introduce the Bolero theme.

The Cavaliers might finish seventh next week without some changes to the end of the show.

This show is way better than whatever the hell those designers came up with last year
That is the truth! Imagine having one of the best brass lines on planet earth. Now imagine it backing up a singer for half of the show.

I love the Cavies and their silliness, but the Oh What a World section loses my attention sadly.
Mine too.

I have come to really love and appreciate this Cavies show, but the vocal section still doesn’t fit, in my opinion. It’s just such a bizarre stylistic choice and transition. I know the connection with Bolero layered underneath, but it still sits a bit out of place for me.
I don’t like vocals either — even when my corps does it.

Are we going to see a new Cavies closer tonight? Didn't someone say they were working on one?
Maybe...

This Cavies brassline is really coming along nicely. Holy cow.
Freddy Martin finally got his way after last season.

It wasn’t the marching members’ fault. I’m glad DCI didn’t punish the kids on the field.

Why wouldn’t that be a great moment for brass quartet instead of vocalists?
It’s sad I can only upvote this post once. It’s Drum Choir International now.

Cesario proposed a 15 corps finals but was voted down. Perhaps we should consider it again or 14. I know it would make for a longer evening but it would have been nice in 2017 to see Mandarins "Inside the Ink" and Academy "By a Hare" and this year's corps also.
Twelve is fine. This isn’t the NHL where nearly everyone makes the playoffs. Anything beyond 12 smells like a participation trophy.

That’s great!
Seriously, why would you use synth bass when you have the best tuba section on the planet?
