  1. Looks like people aren't able to handle different opinions on DCP. Ha!
  2. Do I? If a corps folds mid-season, then I would have no problem with them joining an active organization.
  3. To all or a specific part? I guess I'll adress 1&2 by saying because it's a competitive event with a very limited time frame, but primarily because it's a competitive event. The only reasons anyone should be allowed to transfer from one corps to another within the same season (provided they have an open spot, of course) are: abuse, discrimination, harassment, ect. For #3, I don't like the fact that someone can come in the last couple of days and recieve the same recognition and praise as the other members. In a way, it's disingenuous to those who have put so much of their time and effort with the corps.
  4. The age only gets me when they say they only accept people 17+ in that group. Why can't people adhere to their own rules? Little kid, or not...People marching a season with one corps and being able to join with another corps? I can't stand behind that rule. Because of the fact it's BDC vs BDA doesn't change my opinion on the matter. One corps, one season.
  5. Inanimate props? Don't care. Change drill/uniforms/entire show for finals only? Don't care. Ect... I do have an issue with participants being able to: 1) Compete with more than one corps for the same competitive year 2) Transfer to another corps after a set period of time 3) Join a corps for the last few days only
  6. I don't agree that a member shoud be able to transfer once you have commited to another corps.
  7. Any member of any corps should be abe to do I&E. I feel that once someone becomes a member of a corps, they should not be allowed to participate in another corps for the remainder of the season.
  8. 150/151. Easy. Get a screenshot & count. Age? No limit in the DCI rulebook as to how young. However, it states on BD's own page that: "The internationally competitive Blue Devils A Corps is comprised of 150 members between the ages of 17 and 21". ...unless it suits their own interests. The thing I don't like is that she wasn't there for (all or a majority of) the season - like the other members. To me, it's just a gimmick. Nothing more. The one question I actually have is: Did she march with BDC this year, finish their season, and then join the 'A corps'? If so, then that would probably break some rules.
  9. I know 'Nutville' is based off of the Greg Hopkins arrangement for big band, but I'm wondering what version 'Sweet Georgia Brown' is based off of. Any help would be appreciated. Man, I wish a world class corps would bring Nutville back. I think the last time it was used was in 2003 by Spirit.
