In my area "on the street" refers to a person living on the streets.  Someone losing his job, permanently or temporarily, being "on the street" but actually living in his house, is not quite the same thing.  It is a bit disingenuous IMO.

I’m from Detroit and I am familiar with the expression “out on the street” as meaning out of a job. It isn’t anything to be triggered about.

Why not Ford Field in Detroit.  Premier show has work quite well the last couple years with a really nice crowd for that early.  Acoustics are not bad as far as hard topped stadiums go..seen hundreds of marching band shows perform there.  Logistics are fairly easy in and out of downtown Detroit.  Stadium district downtown is really going through a renaissance and river walk is is less than a mile down Woodward.  For those that like "culture" the Windsor Ballet is just a quick drive south into Canuckistan.

And schools don’t start until after Labor Day. The Detroit suburbs have a lot to offer. Why not Detroit?

I will always have a fond spot in my heart fro The Kingsmen and 27. Kingsmen were bad A$$ in such a good way and 27 were tradition at it’s zenith. I was humbled and honored to compete with you. Both of your organizations set the bar much higher for the rest of us.

Well, there was something called the Rockford File ... that was a thing of beauty.

Perhaps not you, but you have indicated that your priority is comfort, not good sound.  Might as well just go to a cinema broadcasting the competition - it has comfortable seats, is air-conditioned and has "bad sound".

    With respect, Bob P.

Terri doesn’t prioritize good sound? Blast zone Terri? Front row on the 50 Terri? I think you don’t know Terri.

The hey Jude ending was so wack and cheesy 🤮

And LOS stood and sang “Hey Jude” with Bloo. I like Bloo cheese.

And I am not sure why this is popping up in the Cadets 2020 thread.

So what other corps announced the acquisition of Jay Bocook as well as the Bluecoats brass caption head? I think that goes beyond the normal staff announcement hype. But that's just me and everyone has opinions.

Matt was the assistant caption head or maybe co-caption head. Still, an excellent pick up!

Ahh, Brador.  I went to college in Detroit and would frequently travel across the river to Windsor for beer runs....and "guard" practice...

When I was with Oakland-Crusaders, many of us would walk from practice to a nearby bar where we could buy five, 8oz. juice glasses of Brador for a buck (Canadian buck at that). We used to make pyramids with the empty glasses.

Based on this statement successful is a subjective analysis based on personal opinion.  What Bloo was not successful at is being victorious over their competition.

They were successful over all their competition at various times over the season. They were victorious over all their competition save one corps on the last two shows of the year and by the slimmest of margins. I would say that is a very successful season.

I have just one, and it is based on Webster's dictionary.

    "be successful or victorious"

One can argue they were successful if their own scoring benchmark is at play, but victorious is a no go based on their score, they were not competing against themselves.

I can argue Bloo was successful because they were. They had an awesome season.
