Is anyone aware of whether show organizers hire their own meteorologists? Do they use the venue assigned mets for larger venues? Or does DCI have a prescribed meteorologist? Do they just check the apps on their phone? Or is it up to the hosting corps? Asking as a degreed met. It was so frustrating to me to see NightBEAT called early when 1) intermission could have been modified, or 2) the precipitation in the area was very light and not occurring at the time, and 3) there was no lightning anywhere remotely close to Wake Forest University.
