I was wondering who every thought were the best of the best last year in not only full ensemble, but best snare line, bass line, front ensemble, and tenor line.

Opps, I mean tape the snares on the bottom of the top head (perferably kevlar)

You could try adding an extra set of snares and putting them on the rim of the drum opposite to the snares on the bottom. IF you don't have any snares , try tennis string. That could help
