I know everyone says this literally every time Xmen have performed the last two weeks, but it's truly almost impossible to believe this quality of design AND quality of corps is sitting in 12th.

I share that prediction, and add a flip between the two corps who occupy those spaces currently : )

I know I will be listening to that music book nonstop throughout the entire winter. I just can't get enough of it. Thank you, Spirit, for bringing a funky, fun, super fresh music book to the field this summer! I hope you all had a blast performing it!

Ugh I'm nuts about that Color Wheel material to start the closer. They sound SO SO SO GOOD!

They sound utterly wonderful. I could listen to this brassline all day, every day. Performing right after the previous three corps though really highlights the bizarre visual design choices that don't consistently pan out.

*Especially* performing back to back with them, I see no reason why they can't pass Spirit with that run. As much as I love Spirit's music book and brass performance, Spirit's disjointed visual design doesn't hold a candle to PC's seamless, smooth overall package.

Elegantly put, and I agree all around. I really miss Klesch as the brass arranger as well! That sound worked so perfectly for them.

I know others have complained about the splatty trombones throughout the season, but I loooovvvvvvve that writing! Very Mackey-esque. Unfortunately, the rest of the closer changed a LOT throughout the season, and I'm not particularly enthralled by what it morphed into --- a kind of London Bridge/BOTW virtuoso battle among the sections. None of it is very organically musical.

Unfortunately, I’m not nuts about it either. I do adore the entire ballad though!

It was an awful arrangement.

A run that was a million times more energetic and interesting than yesterday's flat performance. What a way to put your show to bed, Troop! So much to be proud of from that final performance!!!! Well done!
