I agree with your comments, even though I am an arm chair band member. The show seems to have an up-side but we have not seen the changes to help compete with the upper tier groups. We are trying hard to make the show better from the stands and telling ourselves the next show will build. We will be patient.

Just saw the ending and agree, the soft ending confuses and loses momentum. The original ending seemed premature in itself and did not build. It pops up all of a sudden and signals we are done. It just ends. Sort like a baseball swing without a wind up. I would hope that the directors would be willing to up the ante this season and not wait. The difference between the top tier programs and others may well be the show design. I am sure the kids would respond to the challenge. Of course I am here behind the computer in an air-conditioned room and not on the 120 degree field. In any case we are very proud of all the kids and wish them the best.
