I wimped out several years back on putting up with iffy weather. 6 months in N.E., 6 months in Florida keeps me from shoveling snow or putting up with high humidity anymore. Plus, Florida has no state income tax, so instead of giving it to nobody I know in the State Capitols in Sacramento, Boston or Tallahassee to parse it out, the kids/ grandkids get it.
Six months and one day. I’m right behind you soon enough.

i just watch the performance and omg.. they are approaching this year very aggressively.. tons of ridiculous marching and playing. very demanding show, so happy it's entertaining too.
I don’t care how late I have to stay up tonight. I’m watching them on flo.
Edit: I just checked and it will be 12:53 am ET. I’m going to tough it out.

It is an interpretation (and pretty darn good one) of the Nighthawks painting the Blue Devils are basing their show on.
I love it.

Just got back from rehearsal tonight. They took a big chunk out of the part 3 to make the show a little bit more cohesive, and added more Olivia. Show is really progressing they had the entire design staff there in rapid prototype mode all night. This is already one of my favorite shows of all time.
Saw the new ending that will go in later. This show has so much more coming at you in the near future.
Oh, and SARO is just incredible. I don't know what else to say.
I can’t stop watching the video.

I bet what’s happening on that field tonight is hotter than the temperature. I love Cali drum corps.

Not college ball, but being a Packers fan in Chicago has its share of fun moments.
We got reported to our HOA for flying a W flag on our patio. I see you’re from Oak Lawn and I was bred in Brighton Park but raised a Cubs fan.

What college do you guys root for? Everyone knows where I go to school lol, but I'm always curious as to who others cheer for.
I’m an Illinois fan so we barely have a football team....he’s an Ohio state fan.

As much of a BD homer as I am, I’m not going to disrespect SCV before having had any chance to see either corps. Too soon to make the assumption that BD 1st is an automatic.
He says that every single year. Even I get tired of hearing it. So look at it this way...you don’t live with him. Imagine my pain during college football season.

I think I speak for everyone on DCP when I say we are going to need a picture to determine the veracity of this claim.

The designers forgot who their biggest star is. Who buys AC/DC tickets and is glad when Hanna Montana comes out to sing?
Yeah that would be a dirty deed.

Magnificent brass line or not, it was a poor design choice anyway. The singing was never going to fit well with that show, regardless of how good she got
Probably true.

I think it was the demeanor more than anything. Boston's young lady didn't act like she was the "Star" of the show and actually went back to doing guard work and sang circles around the karaoke singer.
She was a very sweet and pretty girl and she got better throughout the season. But to me, the singing just wasn’t as special as that magnificent brass line.

I’m still waiting for an answer about Crowns Roach costume and who they’re suppose to be. With Bloo I know exactly what’s happening.
You wore a skirt and I wore a silly giant hat. I would have slapped on whatever they told me to wear. So would have you.
Be nice.

I'm not that bothered per se about the Blue Stars costumes, but I hope for their sake that their feet are clean... Those yellow shoes and pants bottoms will expose a plethora of sins...
That’s why corps stopped wearing spats.

Honestly never saw the need for the pay version of DrumScorps (a fantastic app, BTW!) but any form of the recaps would be better than what DCI is doing with the formatting. Reconsidering.
The DCI website gives me a migraine and we almost missed getting tickets for the Midwestern regional because the schedule on there is like a Chinese fire drill.

At first I was startled the fire re-appeared. Then I was thinking about being in survival mode - fire is important. A big fire, however, burns more wood/witches than a small fire. To conserve on wood gathering / witch trial activities while on a remote island, might be best to keep the flames to a minimum level suitable for roasting fish, and after dinner smores.
You’re right. Fire is far more relevant to this year’s theme. I remember how happy Tom Hanks was dancing around his first fire.
