Cadets 2 sound fantastic! Looks like another good year for them. :)
Jim will see them in Peckville 7/29. I won’t until Williamsport.

I'm seeing it the same way. My first live drum corps isn't until Saturday June 30th in Allentown - 11 more days away
I have Mason 6/25 but then nothing in person until St.Louis 7/15.

btw - the props got a paint job
no - I'm not sharing a pic
I’m going to watch Akron on flo. I’ll be on the other side of Ohio. Let’s hope it doesn’t rain Saturday. (Crossing my fingers)

And a mini break from Cadets - a C2 little video, they are quite good this year & good much earlier than recent seasons where they late bloomed
This is the best I’ve ever heard them at this time of the season. They’re going to be amazing.
And they’re a full corps early. I don’t think that’s happened before either.

If you are headed north to Milton this weekend or Williamsport, please be aware that there are going to be several forms of lane restrictions on Rt 15 above Shamokin Dam. Due to the seemingly never ending construction on the Northern 15 bypass, not only will 15 have issues, but if you try to cross the river at Shamokin Dam into Northumberland/Sunbury, there's issues on 147 on the other side due to the same construction project.
Basically, the plan is by 2024, 15 will bypass the Shamokin Dam congestion nightmare, cross the river below Lewisburg, hook onto 147/whatever number that turns into, then into Williamsport. The first phase is from 15 across to 147 will be done in 2/3 years, total project by 2022 at the earliest
We’re driving to Williamsport for DCA. Is this something that’s going to affect us coming from the west on I-80? Just wondering because I’m pretty ignorant about this area.

I don’t know about about Boston but I do say ChiCawgo.

Okay, I have to say that I'm a little underwhelmed by the shirt designs this year. Especially after the last 2 which were fantastic...hoping they get more creative with them by NKY...
I kinda like the eyeball shirt. It’s a little freaky.

There is also a gray one that I bought at the preview. Has an eyeball on the front and schedule on the back.
Too bad there wasn’t an eyeball on the back so you could see who’s following you.

Someone may have already mentioned it, but amazing grace was written after the author of it almost died in a shipwreck.
That’s an amazing bit of information. It certainly adds to the depth of emotion.

I messed up with ordering my tix...the 50 is usually at bottom of page not the movie screen at top...haha
Jim did that last year! I’m like hey that’s the first row! He switched it. I can’t imagine how sore my neck would have been.

I was actually about to post this to explain where I’ve been and introduce myself for real but it seems @Terri Schehr beat me to the punch!
I said it all in the article but I am so lucky to have the opportunity to work with such an incredible organization this summer. The members, staff, and volunteers are all such incredible people. It’s hard work but the people I get to interact with and getting to be around that incredible thing that goes on on the field the whole summer? So worth it. This has truly been a life changing experience thus far and getting to write about it and share this experience? Wow. Don’t know what I did to deserve this. But.
:)
If anyone wants to meet up at a show shoot me a message!
I wanted to brag on you.

we are only allowed to discuss seasons 2012 to now (per the rule that anything positive regarding the Cadets must be left off DCP) plus corps that don't win too often (so no BD) plus you can't talk about corps which haven't been in finals most years attaining finals (crazy talk) or corps "buying a championship" (sorry, no Boston allowed) - and while we are at it - let's ban conversation about any corps with Blue in their name (too common and easily confused during conversation) or any corps that doesn't wear hats
so - there ya go - you are allowed to talk about Crown, Cavaliers (this year, not last year) and I think that's it.
Thanks. Good to know.

I wasn’t comparing anything about the talent level then to now. Of course, there’s no comparison. I was merely stating that corps made big leaps early on in DCI.
