  1. That was one hell of a line you had. I can tell you that ā€œweā€ weā€™re pretty confident ā€œweā€ were the best line in DCI in ā€˜76-ā€˜77. šŸ˜‰

I'll never foļ»ærget the shocked look on long time Devils'Ā Drum instructor Scott Johnson's faceĀ who was on then marching on the Devils Sļ»ænļ»æare Line -- I think they thought we were going to jump them lol

Yeah, the ā€œshockā€ was due to the on-field congratulations you gave us. For sure a classy move. šŸ‘ I can guarantee you thereĀ wasnā€™t any thought that you may have ā€œjumped usā€.

It would have been interesting to see how it would have played out, but weā€™ll never know.

We had proven time and time again, whenĀ the lights came on, night time was our time. šŸ˜‚

    Congrats on a fantastic season!

  2. Been awhile since Iā€™ve been here, but no question from the technicalĀ to the mental side, our staff from ā€˜75-ā€˜80 was top notch.

  3. Coming off the '74 corps successful season, there was an 'aura' that surrounded the entire organization during the winter that something special was going to happen in '75, and it did.

The corps finally defeated SCV early on, which included our drum line which ended SCV'S 58 show WINNING streak.

Personally, the '75 corps will always hold a special place in my heart.

  4. He, Geddy, Alex and untold numbers of fans should march on the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and demand an explanation about why Rush is not yet in the Hall of Fame! I mean, it's great that Blondie, Parliament-Funkadelic, Run-D.M.C. and The Clash, among others, are recognized there for their contributions to rock and roll....but why this trio continues to be excluded is beyond me.

    Rant off!

Will be off to Vegas in August to see 'em live.

  6. Imagine this, a CE thread going off-topic... :)

I would like to ask Rich if there is any chance of this decision being revisited and possibly overturned with new rules/guidleines in place?

I think this thread is good and thought provoking. It's gets to the meat of why so many of us come here. We've all been togehter a long time and for the most part get along like siblings. (that could be the problem)

    Is there a chance, Rich?

I'll address that privately......as soon as I have time tonight, or tomorrow.

    Thanks.

  7. DCP does not run off of the money give by donors. It helps pay, but I'm nearly positive that Rich bought, and pays for this site.

and besides, no one makes you donate.

    Connor,

John Donovan bought Drum Corps Planet, not me.

Secondly, since John bought ownership, donations from members have not part of the financial equation.

    Hope that helps.
