    • Corps Director

    • Operations Manager

    • Tour Director

These jobs are all posted on their website... I don't need to go further into that

If you want to be taken seriously, then don't make comments like "Y'all its rough when you all do NO SEARCHING at all..."

Boy do I wish I was in Allentown in 2018. I saw a short video clip of the crowd going absolutely bonkers for The Cadets. It was amazing just how far that corps had to progress from the beginning of the season. I saw them in Akron early season that year and was worried they would be in the 11th or 12th grouping. But it sounds like Allentown was a huge leap where the corps just crushed it.

    Cadets ending from 2018 Allentown.

Phantom needs to come out in 2023 with something akin to 1993. This past season was perfect for creating momentum and hype. It was the quintessential Phantom Regiment show. You've got some dark music, white uniforms, loudness, etc. That's very similar to 1992 when Phantom did War and Peace. I mean, there's little more Phantom than Tchaikovsky. 1993, however, completely turned what Phantom was on its head and put them on track to win in 1996. They were still very much loyal to tradition and their reputation and all, but they pushed the envelope of what their tradition and reputation was. If 2023 can capture even a bit of that energy, it's going to be beyond exciting to watch. Phantom is at its absolute best when it's simultaneously progressing the art while staying true to itself. I should also note that Phantom went from 8th in 1992 to 3rd in 1993. That would be a nice thing to repeat for the Thirtieth Anniversary of that show!

While on the topic of 1993, I will forever say that if the 1993 season was one or two weeks longer, Phantom would've won a championship that year. They had lightning in a bottle and the whole activity was on notice.

What also propelled Phantom to a different direction in '93 was the death of their drill designer, John Brazale, in '92.

Please note the 3:15 mark in the attached video where Phantom's Director shows his displeasure with their 8th place finish.

Now that I think about it…the body count was 4. Spartacus kills one of his fellow slaves, next up Varinia Spartacus’ main squeeze, then Spartacus is offed, and finally the Will Pitts character get’s the shaft.

But if you count the number of people in the audience who were slain by the performance at finals…that number goes waaaaay up.

    Wasn't that Phrygia, his wife?

Seriously? That’s awful and pretty unacceptable

I read a story on the internet today about how the Lock Ness Monster will have to move elsewhere to find food because of global warming, and that this will be when it is finally discovered.

I read it on the internet, so I suspect it's true.

I usually wait for multiple credible sources before believing what I read.

I am excited to see who they bring in. This year’s iteration was much better than their attempt in 2019 but the tables were still a bit disastrous from a visual design standpoint. Regardless of what changes occur, I hope they continue looking like Phantom

I don't think it was “disastrous.”

Did anyone really notice how much Phantom used their props?  How many times were they moving those tables to be part of a new set?  Quite a bit.  In some cases, more than necessary, but they still had them completely integrated into the visual.

I felt there were also some issues with their design.  The tarp-like covering looked like the cover one puts on a picnic table (flimsy) and I felt the line design on them was a bit distracting at times.

I don't know the effort required to push them, but some guard members did not look like they had the strength to push them quickly across multiple yard lines as they were tasked to do.

I find it funny that some people didn't get or were confused by the Helen Keller reference.

I support one of the companies owned by my employer.

I commented once in a meeting, “It would be easier working with Helen Keller than this bunch.”

More than once person asked who I was referring to.

I could see Phantom and Cadets make big moves after this season. Both are going to have nice recruitment classes and are going to enjoy a (more than likely) weaker Cavaliers and possibly Blue Stars as well, although they’re definitely the wild card of the Finals lineup.

    Wut?
