I know 1st place is tight and there are assumptions based on what has happened, is happening.
I want Boston to take it. I haven't liked one of their shows for a while, but to me, this year they have one that catches my attention.
I'm a BAC fan. I want them to realize their dream.

they started the show in 18 there, Tame the Perilous Skies was 92 - hard to believe, the guard was back in that corner helping members "fly" > gorgeous moment.
One of the most gorgeous moments in the history of the activity.

As I pointed out to a good friend of mine on here, I've noted that this year, even with the last minute change of drill designers, no one is complaining about drill design.
I hope they stay with Phantom. It's been such a positive year for your efforts.

Such a beautiful ballad.
Was the last time the Cadets visited that corner back in '02 Tame the Perilous Skies?

Naively, I wanna believe this year’s different because unlike last year there’s actually a competition at stake — I wanna believe DCI would feel like it has to try harder and enforce these rules. On competition grounds it shouldn’t be up to the corps to handle this themselves, not least because putting their volunteers at risk still puts the MMs at risk.
But what to do I know.
DCI is not Robocop. I understand what you are saying, yet it's not a powerful organization - and many people assume they have a lot more control than they do.

Cadets need to be looking in the rear view mirror. Objects may be closer then they appear.
I hope Cadets are extremely proud of what they have produced this year.

I think on Sunday I am going to start a topic called 'DCI Finals Week Delusional Optimism' where we can discuss these scenarios more-or-less in real time.
I hope you do.

Instead of Clue, they could have done Trouble and had a giant Popamatic prop in the center of the field. You activate the Popamatic to see how many steps the marchers can take.

We had amazing teachers and many of us MMs came back for several seasons so we built on the previous year’s experiences. Thank Jim Wren and his trusty StroboTuner for our intonation! That was a novel concept back then.
There is much lost with new fans on here. You were there before Phantom was a force, and you were there when Phantom became a force. You have supported your corps through your membership et al, and you kept volunteering after you aged out. For many years up until now.
You are a true Phan. I sincerely hope that those paying attention know that when you have experienced being a part of the organization, it remains part of you.
Phantom benefits from people like you. Who do not forget.

For the young people on here, is the Strobotuner the same thing as a Roomba? .....lol

The difference between ‘78 and ‘79 is astounding!
I have a '74 recording somewhere on a hard drive. That gives even greater prospective.
Suta, you were there during those years when that hornline kept getting better and better and better. You were there when the corps went from entering DCI to being 2nd place.
Yes, '79 was something. But the tone, quality, musicianship leading up to that is astounding.

I hope Phantom keeps close to this uniform next year.
It's perfect. It represents them so well.
It was only recently that I noticed the chevron design incorporated in the back half of the semi-baldric.

Thanks to Sound Cloud, every Phantom show from '75 onward is available for listening.
I love to listen to how their hornline progressed through the late '70s.

I don't recall seeing Regiment performing Serenade for Strings as a warm up. Is this new?
Serenade for Strings was an amazing wall of sound when Phantom used it as their opener in '83.

What is currently the trending "hot topic" in Llama Psychology? MDD, Autism Spectrum Disorder? Fears of contracting West Nile Virus?
I have just completed an article to be published in the journal "Psychology: Right Here, Right Now" regarding the tendency for Llamas to get very agitated every time someone walks by and says "Llama Dama Ding Dong." They do not appreciate this kind of name calling. I hope it helps to educate society about how sensitive these animals are.

I find it's like it doesn't exist when I am in the USA for work but with B.A.5 it is very much on the rise up here in Canada.
I'm shocked at the behavior of so many people. I wish we could do something about closed mindedness.

Can you identify which anxiety disorder this Llama is displaying? 🧐
As a part-time, online trained professional, I can't look at a Llama and deduce the cause of abnormal behavior. Therapy takes months, sometimes years, to unravel the complex psyche of the Llama.
However, a colleague of mine is a Llama Whisperer. He would need to be close to the animal to sense its aura, in order to determine what is causing it angst.

It would be interesting to look at total season attendance through the years vs select shows.

I know y'all are joking about a show called "Get Off My Lawn", but imagine a corps actually doing a show solely meant to call out toxic DCI fans. I think it would be a great meta concept, and whatever corps does it would go down in DCI history.
Hey, I am trying to teach myself how to write drum corps style music... writes it down in infinite notebook labelled "Half-Baked Show Ideas"
Crown could do it as sort of a part 2 from this year's show, but call it "Over There, Tomorrow."
