  1. 🤷🏾‍♂️. I pray they are. Along with the other guard that dropped the rifle. He lost focus after that but got back into it.
  2. Yeah I noticed that too. I think the BA show was a better run. But the ballad was really good during this run.
  3. Not a bad run. Guard was a little off. Rifle hit a Guard members head, hope he/she is ok.
  4. I agree. When I heard my BD lost that year, I was confused 😕. I saw their show live and just knew they had it. My championship CD arrived and I cranked it up in the car and listened to phantom which I hadn't heard; my mouth drop to the dang floorboard. lol. Hit up my friends and told them they had to hear this.
  5. It's been a minute since they've done an American show imo. And as an American I appreciate them. 2002 was the year where alot of corps did American shows. And It made me smile. More patriotic shows, we need them with all the crap our country is going through.
  6. huh? The Crowd went nuts for Crown at BA after that they appeared quiet to me.
  7. Great Idea, but they have that app preset and it's already off. Having to interchange songs would be a disaster. Just imagine different songs playing over the phone at the same time. lol.
  8. Wow. They sure were trying to keep their job I see. If it were me as a usher I would've had my phone out too. I wonder if video isn't allowed during college marching band performances at football games, I've never heard a announcement at the few games I've been too.
  9. Nobody cares. I have videos up and haven't been alerted to remove them. Too many rules. Glad Crown is helping changing the rule. DCI needs more popularity imo.
  10. Jeff Sacktig is a former drum corps member and current visual designer. He is mostly known for writing the drill for 9-time DCI World Champions "The Cadets", though he has also worked with Capital Regiment, Magic of Orlando, and other marching bands and indoor percussion ensembles. Jeff was a member of from 1986 to 1989, playing soprano. During his tenure, he was featured as a soloist multiple times. Sacktig began working with visual program of The Cadets in the early 1990s, eventually becoming the corps' drill writer. His drill style is heavily influenced by that of former Cadets designers George Zingali and Marc Sylvester. His drill often involves large, sweeping curvilinear forms, in contrast to the more compact geometric style of Michael Gaines. His drill is often fast and high-risk, with many exposed block rotations and pass-throughs. In 2005 and 2006, Sacktig experimented with a "representational" style, using drill formations to communicate meaning within the context of the program. This is most evident in "Liquid," the second section of the 2005 show, "The Zone," where waves, a fish, a waterfall, a faucet and a working showerhead are all incorporated into forms. Sacktig's drill for the 2007 show, "This I Believe," seems to have abandoned this concept, as the corps as a whole "returned to tradition" somewhat. The drill for the 2007 show seems to borrow heavily from the 1998 show, "Stonehenge," which Sacktig considers his best work. Source:https://sites.google.com/a/brvgs.k12.va.us/lukegall/my-mentor
  11. Not hard to research, which I do enjoy. You learn so much.
  12. So Blue Stars got 3rd in content and Crown 5th in regards to Guard.??? Not understanding. Anyways..
  13. We gone be alright!!! Good Night my good peoples. Great Performance by Crown but they should of been at least at 88. Show was way cleaner that the last show.
  14. They do Drum Corps to the sheets better than everyone else to win. That's a that matters to them. As a BD fan they are talented but the shows don't get me excited anymore as they use too. Think about the fans sometimes.
  15. I feel you. I come to the point I really don't car bc I know who's going to get my money and who's show is going yo be played constantly and BD are hardly played. I love 70s 80s 90 and 00s BD though.
