  1. Thanks Garry. I thought so. That is the man that changed my life bu introducing me to drum corps in the first place. 20 years later, here I am.
  2. Ryan, not that you would know, but maybe someone else will. Is the 2nd from left, 1st soprano, tall with "dark hands", Gary Lee?
  3. To Vote: Will someone be setting up a different thread for each proposal so we can vote. How is this going to work?
  4. To cut down on expences I'm only having to fly the corps to 2 comps this season. Once to the required Dallas show and to Championships. We'll be taking AMTRACK to the Seattle show.
  5. Working out my schedule I've come up with 16 shows NOT including the 2 shows at the regional. But I do have some weekends where I want to do all three shows. Is there still the thought that we can only have 2 shows per 3 day weekend? If so I'll be down to 13 or 14 shows, which is fine I just need to know.
  6. FYI On the schedule, the 25th, shouldn't all of those shows be "Finals" if the previous days are prelims.
  7. Don't know if I missed it somewhere, but is there a limit to the amount of shows we can do? My guess though is that it will be limited to the amount of shows in your region. Can't decide if I will fly to finals or bus it.

  9. My problem comes in when, of the 50 directors, only 5 make finals. Bottom line, I've pushed/bumped out of finals the last 2 seasons (13th-14th) because of directors with multiple corps, I just don't think it's fair, no more no less. It's hard to promote the "activity" when you know you have no chance of getting into finals. That to me will discourage participation.
  10. I guess the give and take would be how many corps sign up for this coming season. Ok say the proposal passes and each director is limited to 1 corps per division. Then we get to the season and we only have 20 directors, have a cut off date and min. number of corps. If by such and such date we do not have "X" amount of corps, then we can open it up to another corps per director if they so choose. But then the different captions rule would kick in. Thoughts?
  11. The only way they are sure to be judged on the same sheets, is if they are at the same show.........lol Really I think it happens at the D2/D3 Focus shows and later in the season.
  12. Yes that would apply in the off season when we have multiple years to choose from, But in the "Live" season, you could only use a corps once. Is there a way at attach addendums to proposals? Although I would like for the One corps per division per director to pass, but if it doesn't, multiple corps shouldn't be able to use common captions between their corps. if you want more than one corps, mix it up.
