  1. Nice control of the multi meter marching...
  2. Compositionally, the build in beginning of Carol of the Bells was exceptional!
  3. Dennis Argul's arrangements seem to be very appropriate for the brass!
  4. It's Halloween! It's great how certain movie themes have become timeless.
  5. I'm impressed with command central here in the box. DCA has graciously partnered with DCP to allow video clips of today's performances to be broadcast rather quickly!! When technology goes well, it's incredible!
  6. Nice solid ending excited this crowd. Nice flamingo in the pit by the way....
  7. The uniforms are well designed. The white jackets have a nice cut to them bringing the eye up. Dark (pants) to light (jackets / plumes) certainly adds height!
  8. Very nice full ensemble brass sound for the push in "Open Arms". That rich "Texas" brass sound!
  9. Does anyone know the story of this woman in the Shenandoah Sound pit? I've seen here perform many years at championships. I love her commitment!
  10. I am also incredibly impressed with this new work Jeff! For those of you who don't know, Jeff did an amazing painting for me of Mr. Moto about to pass through the cymbal 'V' at the end of the 2006 SCV show! Keep it up Jeff! Key
  11. I even think the arranger for SCV and the Renegades get along pretty well. They both studied with the BD arranger in the early 80s. Do we all really think that the crowd is stupid enough to think that the scores between each division are comparable? Congrats on a great run at Stockton Lee!
  12. I was certainly there and the Renegades had their career performance of the 2007 season at finals. Brass, Visual, Color Guard were MUCH better than in prelims. I didn't focus on the percussion performance as I tend to zero in on the brass so I can't say. How a score goes down significantly from one panel to the next with a markedly improved performance... it's the nature of the beast with subjective judging. Add to that in a finals setting when judges (if they are good judges) MUST leave room for 7 more corps when judging an 8th place corps. Check out how this didn't happen in some captions at the 2007 DCI quarterfinals. When THAT occurs, judges should be questioned about "pre-judging" and POOR numbers management. Don't get me wrong, I would have loved to see the Renegades get the number that reflected their performance but it could have only maxed out around a 93. As far as the spread to our competitors at DCA, it really didn't matter as the primary intent was to put a show out there that supports the identity of the Renegades, one that was entertaining, and one that will be talked about and remembered for years. I am very proud of you 2007 Renegades!
  13. Wow! What a night. Bucs pretty much locked it tonight in terms of bringing it all to the field although Cabs were also very solid. It was a pleasure hanging with you all in the pressbox! See you next year!
  14. Joey - The dark jacket is rather slimming on the jumbotron! :P
  15. Bush: Great performance on some incredibly difficult music! The synchopation is unlike anything tonight.
  16. I think every corps has been bringing its 'A' game tonight!
  17. Christine is a great marcher as well as being an awesome contra chick...
  18. Very emotional moment followed by tasteful nuance.
  19. Genevieve....ah... the golden tone. Who doesn't melt when you play??
