Troopers may not win this year. Other corps perform "better" whatever that means. BD runs and plays Year 10 of the Mickey Mouse Theme at 220 bbm. Coats summons the Seventies in Spandex. Crown and the Marching Arbans. You can have it. I'll take the Troopers. Gosh darn, if that is not the best show of the season. Takes you on a journey, start to finish. So many creative moments - the "horse skip" when the corps turns forward in the third moment; the harmonica / french horn / trumpet trio; the emotion; the depth of feeling. What a show!!!

A Troopers' "Westworld" show - cowboys and robots - would be very, very cool in 2024.
