Everything posted by Ray Priester

  1. From his appearance, he could be doing charts for Satan's Angels, Bellefontaine, Ohio!
  2. After reading so many of these posts, I have to wonder what the postings would have been like if we had the Internet back in 1972. That was just a bit controversial also. And yes, we have let it go, but that does not mean that as long as there is still one of us left alive, we will never forget, not after 42 years, not ever, as I'm sure Cabs and others will never forget this circumstance. As much as it hurts, this penalty did NOT cost a corps the Title, the other one DID. Just saying. Ray
  3. Thanks for the coverage, Kevin. Great stuff!
  4. Every Street's A Boulevard In Old NY into the signature! We played it in "67, probably a little before your time!
  5. The song. I edited it with the full name of the song. I would never call you a liar. You're there, I'm not.
  6. Liar, as in "How Could You Believe Me When I Said I Love You When You Know I've Been A Liar All My Life"
  7. Any idea when and where these will be posted?
  8. I know, it's Peter, Paul and Mary!!! Singing "Where have all the lagers gone".
  9. So, based on that hint, should we take it he's a drummer?
  10. Don't have to worry about that. You had to see Gus' face whenever the subject of that show got brought up, he was literally PURPLE, while our subject just chuckled. So, shall I name our subject or leave it for some more clues and stories? Fairly certain that no one is going to be able to name the second snare drummer in the picture, Charlie VanTine, also a Tottenville lad.
  11. They also beat Sky at a show, I think Lewisburg(?). Had been a bone of contention between that drummer and one Mr. Gus Wilke forever!
  12. The Outerbridge Crossing connects this guys hometown with the home of his corps.
  13. It IS a corps from the Northeast Circuit. The reason you don't recognize it is because it's shown from the side. If you saw it full on, you'd know the corps. I believe the name was derived from a 20s-30s mob and NO it is not Murder Incorporated! Snare #2 will be infinitely more difficult. It does help if you knew these guys and their hometown.
  14. I can't add a thing to what everyone else has said. He was a good man, a reliable judge and always a smile and a good word. I wasn't as close to him as others have been, but I will miss him. May he rest in peace! sigh!!!!!
  15. Could it possibly be "Ironlips" in a brief on-field stint with the Hurcs?? Will definitely need some more clues.
