I have been frustrated at the lack of good marching percussion soundfonts
available. The only one worth using is Virtual Drumline. There is a lesser
known soundfont on the web called marchperc2.sf2, created about 1998 or
thereabouts, but its one whole soundfont for 4 different instruments. I have
messed around with that a bit, tweaking the pitches and velocity, etc., and
created 3 separate soundfonts, for snare, tenors, and 5 basses (no cymbals,
sorry). If you would like to try them out, go to
http://drummin.org/soundfonts.htm, read the info, and hit me up with some
feedback. I would like to get some high quality soundfonts out in the open
market that you don't have to pay 100 dollars for. Thanks for any input.
