  1. Hey,

I'm clearing out the last of my mini collection, and the first one (first of the last?) I'm offering is a 1996 Phantom Regiment mellophone. It's from the first series that Drum Corps Miniatures made.

Asking price is $35, and includes shipping / insurance.

PM me if you're interested - first come, first serve.

    Thanks!

    Mike

  4. Article at www.crusaders.com.

Look and listen for an even more pronounced Crusader identity as a majority of this production includes an original musical score….a first in Boston Crusader history.  As audiences have experienced in past years, Boston’s program is an “effect based” show, designed from the inside out, with all aspects of the production designed simultaneously, to keep the viewer engaged from all perspectives.

  5. Moved to Historical Discussions forum.

As I've heard it told, I thought it was '85, and they used a synthesizer to play Axel F (Beverly Hills Cop theme) - they were penalized either 1.0 or 2.0 at each show in which it appeared?

I'm sure someone'll fill in more detail on here...

    :)

  6. I saw the show live in July that year (as a matter of fact, at the first show I ever went to see in person), and was blown away. After watching that, I had no idea how *any* corps could be ahead of them. They had, to me, two of the greatest impact points ever in drum corps - at the end of the build in the opener when they hit the slow triplets, and "the chord" - that major chord right at the end of the show before the recap. Goosebump city.

And those triangular poles were friggin' *cool* in person - they didn't catch them on tape all that well...
