I love a drum corps, I always will. Because a drum corps gives me such a thrill. When I was only a little child, the f#@king drum corps drove me wild.(always remember the ole daze) ^0^
:sshh: I know I am being a bit "picky", but the name of my corps was Westshoremen Bonnie-Scots in the early years of RCA...sorry to be so picky but right is right
My foggy mempory seems to tell me that back in 68-71 or so DCA was doing 10 corps finals(we at WBS were always 11 or 12 and had to go early to do a standstill for the recording co)
b**bs Ok, Waddaya mean you don't have ta do a company front off-the -line? It ain't right startin at the 50....and No color pre..It's unamerican I tell ya
:sshh: Pottsville was the coldest parade I ever shiverred/marched in. I did it several times with the Bonnie-Scots(thank God we didn't wear kilts) and once with the Bucs and yes we usually sang our book because of the cold. One good thing is we didn't get egged like at various haloween parades... <**>
Hey Bill, do you have any old pics that you could share? Many times I regret not being a camera nut back when we were marching and having the great times........
:( i think a lot of smaller corps made the same painful decision...and RCA comps and parties were some of the best without someone trying to bash your brains out like at some DCA shows and parties
