  1. The CMCC Warriors competed as a senior corps at the 1985, 1986 and 1987 DCA Championships.
  2. There are MANY senior American Legion/VFW corps back in the 1930's who wore Aussies.
  3. One thing that made the 1977 Bridgemen so special was their soprano soloist, Jim Brady, who was only 17 years-old at the time!
  4. It was the GUARDSMEN who did the KFC ad. It first ran on CBS the first night of the new tv season in September of 1975.
  5. People are quick to dismiss the Madonna/drum corps link, mostly because people assume it was the Bayonne Bridgemen she marched in. That was not the group she was in. She was in a corps from her home state of Michigan. There was a corps in BRIDGMAN, and there was also a corps from the Michigan/Ontario area called the Bluewater Bridgemen. Several biographical sketches on Madonna show her as being a member of such a corps. She did take twirling lessons when she was in junior high school, which was the time these corps were active in Michigan.
  6. The Thing was created when the Cedarburg Thunderbolts merged with Milwaukee's St. Patrick's Imperials. Both corps actually appeared separately at the start of the summer, then later came on as The Thing. Their uniforms were a blend of the purple T-Bolts uniforms with the green of the Imperials. Kind of fit their name.
