  10. Next weekend, April 2-3, the Southern Knights will be evaluated by the powers that be... I think we are in good shape, but I still get nervous. The show is programmed and will be a crowd pleaser. Titled: "In Defense of The Crown". We are playing "In The Spring, at The Time When Kings Go Off To War", and "On A Hymnsong of Philip Bliss". Old timers will recognize this music. We have our own version of this show! 3 movements have been played. All that is left is a percussion break and movement 4.(About 3 minutes of show.) We own all our equipment and uniforms, with the exception of some keyboards. We have several DCI and DCA shows within a 3 hour drive of Birmingham. As well as a DCI show here in Birmingham at Mountain Brook HS! It's been a few years since we have had a show here. We have fluctuated between 40 and 50 people all winter, not counting guard. We will start getting guard numbers in the next couple weeks after WGI. We hope to march a full 65 member Class A DCA corps this summer. Southern Knights will keep you posted... Wish us luck!
