Bill R Posted July 6, 2007 Share Posted July 6, 2007 Yesterday I said I wasn't authorized to give any details on Bill Connelly's condition. But this morning an email from his wife Maureen was sent to all Light Brigade members. I know I'm not allowed to post an email here so this is a paraphrase. Bill was transferred to the ICU at Mass General Hospital where he was diagnosed with stomach cancer. The cancer has spread to his liver, pancreas, & kidneys. This cancer is terminal. He is to have surgery to remove his stomach, & will attach his esophagus to his intestines so he can eat small amount of food. This is a very dangerous surgery that will be performed sometime today. After the surgery, chemo may or may not be administered depending on what type of cancer this is. This is a very fast moving cancer & could not have been prevented.
