drumlinetchr Posted August 3, 2007 Share Posted August 3, 2007 I have seen the Scouts about a week before they left, I think they will make an impact, great show, wish I could have gone with them to the states. Remember that they are used to playing indoors and on a winter guard size floor, a lot of work went into this show and they also have another completely different show for the season here in Japan when they get back with their full corps. div II fan Posted August 3, 2007 Author Share Posted August 3, 2007 surf--first off, welcome to california. Truly breathtaking opening. That brass is so loud they changed cloud direction. Love the drill. Guard is big and good. Nice visuals with the "snap shots" of all the places they've been or are going. Ballad didn't fit the rest of the piece-kind of awkward slow and spatial. The four count rhythm after the ballad was awesome. Loved the shave and a haircut. This show would have beaten Academy last year. It's that good.
