flagguy
You knew it would come up eventually. I have always used indoor flat latex. Today I was told to use outdoor. Any opinions? Also for anyone who uses used billboards, what is the best way to attach them together. Thanks.
wvguard
I use outdoor paint (Acri-Shield Porter Paint) and it has worked well for me so far. I have heard that sometimes indoor latex flakes off, but I have never tried it. Edited October 7, 2007 by wvguard

In Charge
We use outdoor flat and it never chips. We duct taped our floor togther we went around it twice and it stayed togther fine. we used white tape and then painted over it.
Jak
You can buy floor paint (not intended for a winterguard floor, but to paint wood floors) that is made to stand up to traffic. That's what I have used.
CSHSGuardInstructor
Yup, indoor will flake off...at least, it did on us. Also, I never tried it but when I asked a few years ago about attaching our two billboards together I was told to use carpet tape.
quegrawks
We asked someone at home depot. they said your best bet was deck and floor paint (for outdoor porches, etc.). it holds up well to traffic. The color is a little flat, but it works fine.
zackiedude
I've done tarps with carpet tape on the top and duct tape on the bottom. The carpet tape is like double sided tape that leaves no line of tape, but if you don't do it perfectly you can leave a part of the tarp with a flap that may come up. I like whoever suggested taping with white tape on top and painting over it, but I'm not sure if that would look like a huge texture difference than the billboard surface. In Charge
From really close up you can see a differance in texture..but it is not noticeable from the stands.
