heyjoe
I was wondering if you can audition on trombone anywhere? Specifically the Cadets but anywhere else would be nice to know? And then what happens if you make it? Do they give you a certain amount of time to learn the baritone or another instrument? I've always wanted to audition but the whole having to play a 'bugle' instrument held me back. Thanks for anyone who can/tries to answer! Casaba
Crown will happily let you audition on trombone but you will be playing bari or euph the rest of the weekend. Best to know the fingerings before you go. Seems that tone and general playing ability/control will still show through for them to see, plus ATTITUDE and desire to learn still play a part. Good luck to you edit: one quick audition is not really the audition there, it is a progression of improvement over the camps they are looking for, you will get an idea of where you are from the one-on-one audition but it's not a one and done kinda thing Edited October 31, 2007 by Casaba
