jdgregory7
Please help. I'm trying to archive my 150+ PM's. I've gone through the steps in the control panel twice, once selecting Excel format and once selecting HTMP format. Both times the email I received was complete jibberish as you can see below. Thank you for your help. A sample of the emails I received: This is a MIME encoded message.------=_NextPart_000_0022_01C1BD6C.D0C0F9F0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable jdgregory7, This email has been sent from http://www.drumcorpsplanet.com/forums/index.php. ajw
This same thing happened to me a while back. I posted about it and never got a response. Does anyone know what the problem is?
JohnD
I've had a look at the issue and have found that the problem is related to the attachment that is sent from the system with the PM messages. After a quick look around the system, I can't find a configuration entry that would be causing the problem, so it may be something in the code itself. A quick search of the software support knowledgebase revealed no clues for a solution. I'm reluctant to spend a lot of time debugging the code, as we'll be moving to the new version of the forum software in just a couple of weeks. If we could hold-off until then, it would be a big help. Thanks for your patience, -john
jdgregory7
Will we lose pm's in the move?
JohnD
Will we lose pm's in the move? No, there should be no data loss in the upgrade. All of our testing to-date has shown that the migration will take nearly a day to complete - but will preserve all of our data. We're hoping to have everything ready to go for Thanksgiving weekend - when people will be out shopping or spending time with family.
