The Citations will welcome several new and returning people to the corps’ design team for the 2008 season. Staff members include: Aaron Goldberg (brass arranger), Edward Devlin (visual designer), Matthew Tavares (front ensemble arranger), Charlie Poole (battery percussion arranger), Erika Johnson (color guard designer) and Fred Ford (program consultant).

Aaron Goldberg, Brass Arranger. Returning for his second year as brass arranger, Aaron received his B.M. in Music Education from University of Massachusetts Lowell and his M.M. in Euphonium Performance from Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University. He has taught music at every level, from kindergarten through college, and has been on the brass staff of the Crossmen Drum & Bugle Corps since 2002. Before that, he was a performer with the Crossmen. Aaron is currently the Director of Athletic Bands at Boston College. He performed with the Tony and Emmy-award-winning Broadway show “Blast” on its 2005-2006 National Tour

Edward Devlin, Visual Designer. Ed is one of the most well known and well respected visual designers in the north east, writing for many of the most successful marching units in the country, including the Crossmen, East Coast Jazz, Jersey Surf and King Phillip Regional High School. Citations are thrilled to have Ed as part of the team in 2008.

Matthew Tavares, Front Ensemble Arranger. Matt is a long time staff member of the Citations. He received his BA in music from the Berkeley College of Music, Boston MA, and is currently working towards his MA at the Boston Conservatory. Matt is the band director at the award winning Malden High School, one of the most well respected winter percussion programs in the north east.

Charlie Poole, Battery Arranger. Charlie is returning for his second year on staff with Citations. A DCI hall of famer, he brings more then 40 years of marching and teaching experience to the Citations. Charlie currently teaches in the Everett, MA school system, and is pursuing his MA in Music from Boston University.

Erika Johnson, Color Guard Designer. Erika is returning for her third season with Citations. Erika brings better then 10 years marching and teaching experience to the staff. Erika was a member of the prestigious Cadets Drum and Bugle Corps, and has taught with some of the most well respected winter guards and marching bands in the North East.

Fred Ford, Program Consultant. The Citations are thrilled to add long time friend of the corps Fred Ford to the design team. Fred has designed some of the most successful programs in DCI over the past 15 years, working with both the East Coast Jazz and Jersey Surf.

That's how I had spelled it initially. But, I saw that both the Citations post on here and on DCI had it without an "e". Maybe they changed it without Charlie knowing :thumbup: .

Very sorry to Charlie, that was a typo on my end, spell check on my email run amock. But yes it is Charlie Poole of 27 fame, and we are thrilled to have him on board. Besides the experience he brings to the team, he is a tremendous educator and motivator, to both the staff and students alike, truly a DCI legend!
