CLASS Welcomes "new" Corps

Recommended Posts

CLASS (Corps League Association for Superior Sight/Sound) President Gary L Currier was thrilled to announce in a morning press conference that CLASS is welcoming 5 new corps and two hall of fame directors to the organization.

Bill Price and Matthew Smith are joining the organization with a wealth of knowledge, prestige and great tradition. Both directors are founding members of DCPI and have been a great asset to the activity as a whole and will be welcome additions to the CLASS family. Each director will be seated on the board of directors and will receive one vote per corps.

The corps this will add will include for Mr. Price, The Velour Knights, a 5 time DCPI finalist with a high of 2nd place and this year’s 9th place corps. VK Too who have won the division II championships and are a 7 time finalist including this years 5th place finish and VK3 who have been a division III finalist 4 times including this year’s very close second place.

For Mr. Smith it will add Tri-Color who is a 6 time finalist, finishing as high as 2nd and is this year’s 3rd place corps and Emerald Regime who is a former division I finalist 2 times getting as high as second as well as division II finalist. Matt also does a great deal of work on the side as a developer and arranger for other DCPI corps.

Mr. Currier stated that while he wasn’t looking to necessarily increase the size of CLASS, when two opportunities as great as these present themselves to you, you jump on them! Both directors and all five corps have great history, great honor and are truly class acts. After the press conference brunch was served and the directors and all of those in attendance had a great time reminiscing on their past experiences in the activity.
