kempej01
Looking to see what interest there is in Austin, TX to build a percussion battery (drumline) geared for people 22 or older. We would rehearse and perform on a part-time basis. Majority of performances would be local to the Austin, TX market. Also we will perform with an established brass ensemble as well as on our own. The group's maximum size is planned to be: o 6 Snares o 3 Tenors o 4 Bass o 3 Cymbals Contact Joe at kempej01@gmail.com. phoenix_aurora
what, no pit? I don't live down south, but have family in TX (Houston)...and occationally consider moving there. Austin is great and theres a music school there that I've considered. If I do move to TX I know I would definitly seek out a drumline or corps to play with. (although I know that doesn't help your cause at the moment...) Good Luck! (:

kempej01
Attendees, Thanks for making our first Drumline information a HUGE success! Our percussion producer will be emailing out charts to you. Remember our primary goal is to have fun while we get better. See you at our next rehearsal January 17, 2009. Our brass line is very excited to have you part of our team! Everyone Else, I was asked a question on whether we will have enough room for more interested people. For people with the right attitude and are willing to commit to our program, we will make the room. We will not implement auditions to shrink the group's size.
