Cavie74
Glenn Kotche marched in Cavaliers in 1988 or 1989 and is now the drummer for Grammy award wining group Wilco. He will be performing solo and with Indie Classical group "eighth blackbird" next Tuesday November 18 2008 at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance. I've copied the text from the theater's event calander below: Indie classical meets indie rock when eighth blackbird collaborates with Glenn Kotche, drummer and percussionist of the Chicago-based rock band Wilco. Heralded by the Chicago Tribune for his “unfailing taste, technique and discipline,” Kotche’s eclectic performances and original compositions have explored the creative use of rhythm and space through various percussion projects over the past two decades. The show will feature works from Kotche’s album “Mobile” performed by the percussionist and eighth blackbird, a solo set by Kotche, and other works including Dutch composer Louis Andriessen’s pedal-to-the-metal Worker’s Union.
