bawker
As a staff member of a competing drum corps, I am happy to be there again. And I AM happy to be among the guys who want to keep drum corps as it was. We use G bugles. We never use amps. We welcome a corps even if they have less than 30 guys. Please don't take that as I am complaining to the recent changes. We are happy and it's our honor to maintain a treasure that you, U.S. people, brought to us. God bless you. Seriously.

InspaDave
I'm a professional bus rider... it's been my main mode of travel between Kansai and Kanto for 3 years I hate riding that bus but it is much cheaper than the Shinkansen. BTW, I hope to see you there.

geritubo
I've just come back from the trip. First of all. I believe DCJ is one of the best competition for players. Guys may have worried about holding gigs outside in January, it was even hot in the sun. Scores and reviews will be showed soon by someone. Personally, it was nice talking to Eddie, Dave and Bob. Thanks. Ken
InspaDave
A full review, written by Eddie (he's a better writer) will follow, but a quick update on what went down yesterday. It was a great day of drum corps. There was not one bad show. Even the corps with 15 people total entertained me. The Scouts, as I expected, were the champs. I can't recall exactly but they won all caption awards but High Drums, which went to Tokyo Phoenix. The Inspires were a lot better than I was led to believe. For a rebuilding year it was a great show and performance.
