New Pacific Crest Uniform Unveiled

Recommended Posts

I'm most concerned with how the snare drummer's right hand/wrist turn looks. I think PC should be worried less with uniform colors and more about their percussion program

In all seriousness, I really like this design and can't wait to see it on the field. This is a great improvement on an already classy look and should serve them well.

this was surprising to me as i never heard this when i marched...the colors were teal and black...but hey copper is good too

Since the Corps has a Teal and Gold Club (for donors), I would confirm with Stuart as to whether or not copper is appropriate.

The Corps colors have been teal and gold since its 2nd year. The earliest uniforms were white tops and black pants and gold chords - hand me downs from local high schools. In 1999 we (members) pushed for gold piping on the uniform. The volunteers looked at some of the kneeling we were doing in the show and objected to white pants right away - how often will they need cleaning?!? Those white pants were so thin they made ungulations at damp Pacific NW shows seem downright obscene. While I didn't like the look, I wasn't surprised to see the change to black pants.

We wore our hand-me down uniforms for 6 years, and they now have had the Div II uniform (plus or minus pant color) for 10 years now. Some of the corps shakos are as old as the corps! I guess it's time for an update. Ideally there'd be some consistency - but the old uniforms don't have much character to build off of.
