Don Jenness passed away yesterday after a battle with a lung infection.

"Donnie" was best known for his work with the University of Delaware Color Guard and their indoor guard, Visual Arts Production Company (now Delazure). He was also a staple at the Drum Major Academy and worked at several of their summer camps over the years. Prior to working with UD, he was the guard instructor at Temple University.

He was also an adjucator for National Judges Association and was a Chapter Coordinator in NJ for several years.

During "Donnie's" last season at VAPCO, the guard was undefeated in TIA and won the All-Championships in Wildwood in May of 2006. They were also a finalist at the WGI Power Regional in Trenton.

He also worked with such units as Field of View, Delaware Valley HS and Washington Twp. HS. As a performer, he marched with several groups in his home state of Massachusetts, most notably Emerald Marquis and also performed with the Sunrisers Drum and Bugle Corps.

Services will be Wednesday, March 25 @ 11 AM at the Davis Funeral Home in Plymouth, MA.

A celebration of his life will be @ 12 PM at the VFW.

He will be missed by all who knew him and especially those of us who worked with him.
