The Pacers 1960 Intro: "The Pacers one of the finest jr. Drum & Bugle Corps in the area. The Corps is compoed of youths from this area between the ages of 10-16. Our uniforms are new and the colors are as follows: (Shirt) bright red wth a red and whtie cros stripe fringed with gold. The pants are black with a wide plested bell bottom in bright red. Our shakos are sparkling red trimmed wth black and white and a large red plume at tha top. The bugles section hae gleaming chrome bugles and the drum sectoin has the finest sparkle red pearl drume on the market. Put this all togeather and you have a truly fine appearing group. The Corps also features a 12 girl color-gaurd carrine(8)colcoful flags(2) riflies and (2) sabers. This high stepping neat appearing color gaurd that has WON much Acclaim This season... The Corps Has 40 marching members, our music is modern and up-to-date and played at a fine marching tempo of 124 BPM, a cadance that give a marching unit a fine military appearance, and a very crowd pleasing effect." The Pacemakers Intro: "The Pacemakers of Poughkeepsie N.Y. were fprmed in 1962 and first appeard in the 1963 Loyality Day parade. the Pacemakers now consists of 70 members. The Corps is under direction of Mr. Leon MacDonald,assisted by Mr. Peter Maroldt. The Coprs is led by twin Majoretts, Margite and Andra Coniglio. The Polish American Citizens Club is the sponsor."
