I have a few dynasty wedge snares that are really lite, but I'm looking for some other lite gear.

Can anyone speak to the quality of the Yamaha Lite series basses and tenors? I don't intend on cranking them, so lug casings SHOULDN'T be an issue. Any info would be appreciated.

The powerlite basses are okay, weak rims

The toms are decent as well

Dynasty "squint" triples [10, 12, 14 with shallow, uniform-depth shells] weigh only 17 pounds including the lightweight, very solid, integral support frame. They're wonderful! We use them exclusively in 2nd Wind. The squint line is also available in quads & quints.

I'm 100% completely, absolutely mystified why Dynasty doesn't advertise the squint line. :thumbs-up:
