Elmo Blatch
Which caption does a corps need to improve of more during the course of the season? I have to imagine, even for the youngest groups, the music program is stronger for each corps than its visual program. There are many reasons for this, but that is a different topic. Given the position that the music caption starts out the season "stronger" than the visual caption, why does the music start being scored/judged equally as low as the visual caption? Tez
Well, you do have a point....... But the simple answer would be that since it is much easier to have decent sounding music early on, the judges are much less forgiving when scoring it. Conversely, since the visual takes so long to clean up, the judging system is more lenient on mistakes/bad forms/etc....
